Baseball gloves

It was just to pick up a couple of pads to be used for a project I'm making. I took the girls shopping with me on the way back from dropping off one of the girls' friend. Next to the pads were the baseball gloves. Well, while I went to look at new bike seats, I let the girls try out the various gloves and toss the baseball.

Well, instead of just the pads, instead it turned into a bit larger of a purchase--pads, bike seat, three gloves, and baseballs!

For three days in a row, we used our new gloves out back. I like tossing ball in the back yard; the fence stops the runaway balls and makes it quick to retrieve. The rock in the back yard works out great for playing with the ball too; when the ball drops, it just plain old stops.

It's been a bit challenging for the younger one to lower her glove to catch the fly balls; she actually got bopped in the mouth once. The other one had her own set of challenges: set got a couple of stray bounces off of the pavestones, too. But, both of them have been really enjoying the new hobby!
